The Government of Belarus has instructed the Ministry of Finance to increase the republican budget expenditures allocated for the healthcare sector in 2024.
This is enshrined in the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 643 of September 3 of this year.
The document was officially published on the republic’s legal internet portal.
According to the resolution, funding should be increased for the Ministry of Health – funds are intended for higher and scientifically oriented education.
An additional 3 million rubles will be allocated for the purchase of equipment and “other fixed assets” for the Belarusian State Medical University.
It is noted that the volume of financing is increasing due to a reduction in the country's budget expenditures allocated for servicing the external public debt.
The government decree comes into force after its official publication.
