Remove These Things From Your Small Apartment: 5 Items That Don't Belong There

Creating a cozy corner from a tiny living space is not as easy as it might seem at first glance: any bulky piece of furniture or an abundance of decor can reduce an already small space.

Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, told about five items that are best avoided in such conditions.

Books

There is nothing wrong with having a lot of printed material crowded on your shelves, except for the fact that a bookcase is a pretty useless item that takes up a lot of space. Consider keeping a few favorites and putting the freed up space to better use.

Abundance of decor

As we have already said, excessive decor looks bad in small (and large) apartments. A large number of paintings, vases, figurines and other decorative details create a feeling of disorder and chaos.

Technique

Of course, you shouldn't completely give up technology, but try to make sure that your apartment doesn't become like an electronics store. Put things that you don't use every day out of sight, instead of arranging an exhibition of them on the countertop.

Sideboard

What's bad about a sideboard? That this item is quite massive and takes up a lot of space. Open shelves or special racks will be enough to store beautiful dishes.

Bedside table

Bedside tables are not as functional as they may seem: they can only be used to store small items. In addition to the fact that this furniture takes up a lot of space, it also overloads the space. Small shelves near the bed or one large one above the sleeping area will be an excellent replacement.
