Using dark shades to decorate a bathroom is not the best idea, since such rooms usually have a small area.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, black and similar colors: dark blue, brown and other dark colors - visually reduce the space, creating a feeling of tightness.

Another disadvantage is the glossy surface of the tiles, on which all dirt will be visible: traces of shampoo, shaving foam stains, splashes of toothpaste, etc.

As a result, you will have to clean the bathroom every day, thoroughly rinsing off the cleaning products, since otherwise there will be streaks left on the tiles.

Hard water can make the situation worse as it causes limescale to form on tiled walls.

To avoid the hassle of cleaning, use tiles with a texture that imitates natural stone - marble, limestone or travertine.

On a colorful background, splashes, streaks and stains will not be as noticeable.

And if you can’t imagine a bathroom without black, add it in the form of decor or plumbing – a black faucet would be a great option.
