Fashion changes almost at the speed of light, but not all people follow trends, which is why it turns out that the interiors of some apartments contain details that have lost their relevance for 20 years now.

One of them, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, is multi-level stretch ceilings with lighting.

In the 2000s, shiny stretch ceilings, decorated with a huge pattern and equipped with many spotlights around the perimeter, were extremely popular, as they looked rich and presentable.

But modern interior design experts are sure that such a design puts a lot of pressure and weighs down the space, especially if the ceilings in the apartment are not very high.

Stretch multi-level ceilings are only allowed for technical purposes - when it is necessary to install ventilation and other communications, etc.

If you don’t have such a need, choose simple and laconic ceilings, devoid of any additional frills.

A good example is Scandinavian-style interiors with their neat, uncomplicated decor and brightly lit ceilings.

The vast majority of them are smooth and matte, of regular geometric shape.

Ideally flat ceilings are made in a single color, and the maximum that is used during finishing is wood panels or beams.
