One day, minimalism in the interior begins to seem boring, and your hands automatically reach out to add something.

Things are roughly the same when it starts to seem like there is more empty space on the wall than you wanted.

Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told how to decorate an empty wall, besides a carpet and a painting.

Diptych or triptych

Two or three paintings or photographs collected in one composition can become not just a wall decoration, but a full-fledged accent. The images can be bright, black and white or made in pastel colors.

Mirror

When you need to save free space in the room and at the same time somehow decorate the interior, then mirrors will come to the rescue. They fill the room with light, space and at the same time the interior does not seem so modest.

Tree

Use panels or slats made of natural wood. They will bring the interior of a city apartment closer to the coziness of a country house.

Choose shades that match the color of the main furniture in the room.

Plates

This decoration is suitable not only for kitchens. A collection of antique plates brought back from tourist trips will look good in the dining room or living room.

Shelves

Instead of carpets and paintings, you can use hanging bookshelves. In addition to books, you can place other artistic objects here - candlesticks, boxes, pots and figurines.

You can also decorate the wall with a large family photo, a panel or another art object made by yourself.
