Since the bathroom in most apartments cannot boast impressive dimensions, the furnishings of this room should be thought out from A to Z.
Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino told what nuances should be taken into account in the process of arranging a bathroom.
Storage system
Essential items, including soap, shampoo, washcloth, towel, etc., should always be at hand. We conclude: you should carefully think through the storage system.
You can store your bath accessories in a cabinet under the sink, on a corner shelf – there are many options. The main thing is not to fill the sides of the bathtub with jars and bottles: you will probably constantly bump into them, it will be inconvenient to clean up, and you will not be able to hide from the visual noise.
Correct height
The height of the sink from the edge of the bowl to the floor can be from 80 to 100 cm, and the shower stand – at least 195 cm (maximum 2 m).
The average height of the bathtub edge to the floor should be about 60 cm, and when installing a faucet, it is worth ensuring that the distance from the bathtub edge is 15-20 cm. In a shower cabin, this parameter can reach 80 cm (if necessary, it can be increased).
Space for household items
Usually, rags, buckets, basins and household chemicals are stored in the bathroom (if there is no pantry in the apartment). Of course, you should not leave them standing against the wall - instead, place a narrow but tall cabinet in the bathroom.
