If you are faced with the need to disguise an uneven ceiling, you can breathe a sigh of relief – it is even easier to do than, for example, to straighten crooked walls.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, uneven surfaces are easily hidden under suspended or stretch ceilings.

Another option is to use decorative ceiling beams to draw attention away from the curvature.

But be prepared for the fact that this method is only suitable for apartments and houses with high ceilings.

Often, unevenness occurs at the junction of the ceiling and walls. While they are white, they are not visible, but when it comes time to glue the wallpaper, the uneven border immediately catches the eye.

It can be hidden using decorative overlays such as moldings or polyurethane cornices.

They smooth out the transition from the wall to the ceiling and mask unevenness, and if you additionally paint the cornice in the color of the ceiling, you will not only be able to hide the problematic joint, but also visually raise the ceilings (this advice is especially relevant for small Khrushchev-era apartments).

It is important to choose the right size of the cornice. If the ceiling is from 2.7 to 3 meters, the cornice should not be more than 15 centimeters. Do not be petty with the size: a height of 4-5 centimeters will not hide the unevenness and will only emphasize it.
