How to disguise crooked walls: the most successful methods - do not require large investments

It often happens that an outwardly even wall is slightly “tilted” vertically.

Of course, to solve the problem, you can geometrically align the walls, but this will require significant costs. As an alternative, the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", designer Yulia Tychino, suggests masking the curvature using the following finishing materials.

Non-woven wallpaper

This type of wall covering has a dense texture, which means that you can pull and stretch the wallpaper a little, thereby hiding small irregularities.

It is recommended to choose wallpaper with a chaotic pattern, which will additionally help to mask the flaws.

However, be prepared for the fact that you will not be able to achieve an ideal result - when gluing to an uneven surface, the seams may come apart or the wallpaper may overlap. Nevertheless, it will be difficult to notice such flaws with the naked eye.

Facade plaster

Most types of plaster require ideal walls, while facade plaster can be called the least demanding.

It has a large grain and structure, which means it can cover unevenness. However, an interior with such a finish will look rather simple.

Coarse grained decorative plaster

This material will cope with this task perfectly and will even add originality to the interior if chips or cracks appear - from the outside it will look like a continuation of the original idea.
