Linoleum as one of the types of floor coverings enjoyed truly “wild” popularity just a few years ago.
Its qualities gave it such “demand”: accessibility, ease of installation and attractive appearance, says Yulia Tychino , an expert of the online publication “BelNovosti”.
However, over time, people realized that linoleum was, at the very least, short-lived.
Moreover, due to its increased slipperiness, this material can be classified as dangerous.
And the “appearance” of linoleum, frankly speaking, is an acquired taste – modern people are increasingly drawn to natural textures, which, alas, linoleum cannot provide, since its surface looks somewhat unnatural.
All of the above does not prohibit the use of this material as a temporary solution.
But if you are doing a renovation that will last for centuries, immediately choose a coating that will retain its presentable appearance and relevance even after ten years.
Pay attention to laminate, parquet board or ceramic tiles. Recently, self-leveling and cork floors have also become popular.
