3 tips for those whose windows overlook a concrete fence: how to change the view from the window

When choosing a home, you should definitely take into account such a factor as the view from the window, because they may overlook an abandoned wasteland, a concrete fence or the wall of an old multi-story building.

However, even such a serious problem can be solved from the inside - all it takes is a little imagination and advice from the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", designer Yulia Tychino .

Shift the focus

If you make the window an accent in the room, for example by painting it a bright and saturated color, all attention will be focused on the decor, and the view from the window will move into the background.

The only caveat: if your apartment has plastic windows, the color will have to be brought out through the window slopes - such “structures” are not intended for home painting.

By the way, it is not necessary to use paint: you can limit yourself to placing some bright object in front of the window, for example, an electric fireplace.

Mask the glass

To disguise a window, you can use stained glass by placing a frame with stained glass as a “second thread” of lightening or by gluing a special film onto the glass.

There is another way - curtains with a print of your favorite landscape.

Hang some shelves

This interior solution has at least 3 advantages: shelves will help improve the view from the window, drawing attention to themselves; they will use the space that is usually left “unused” and, finally, they will optimize the storage system.

Previously we talked about how to improve the interior of a small apartment.
