The expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , categorically disagrees with this, sharing ideas that will help those who have decided to replace the curtains on the windows with something new.
Frosted glass
Frosted glass solves the problem of protecting personal space and sheltering from direct sunlight. It is not necessary to make the window completely frosted - you can close only part of it or apply a sandblasted pattern on top of the glass.
Decorative stickers
Creative people will love decorative adhesive film. With its help, you can turn a window into a real picture. There are various options in stores: from flowers to catchphrases that glow in the dark. Choose a film that is easy to remove so that you can change the pictures depending on your mood or the season.
Stained glass windows
Stained glass windows work particularly well in classic interiors, but if you choose the right color scheme and add elements in a similar style, they can also fit into a modern setting.
Important: the effectiveness of stained glass is affected by the size of the window: the larger it is, the better the design will look.
If you do not plan to make special glazing with stained glass, you can use stained glass film. It will replace curtains, maintain privacy and is easy to change.
Decorative screens
Screens can be used not only for radiators, but also for windows. Unique "screens" made of metal, wood or plastic will not let annoying sun rays into the room and will protect your personal space, as well as give the interior a special charm. Beads
At first glance, beads instead of curtains may seem like an old-fashioned solution, suitable only for interior doors. But if you try hard and select beads in accordance with the style and color of the interior, they will bring lightness, dynamics and cheerfulness to it. Wooden beads are suitable for eco, glass for high-tech, metal for loft, shells for Mediterranean, and so on.
