Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , shared advice that will help disguise this interior detail so that the apartment does not lose its attractiveness.
Most often, a gas water heater is placed in the kitchen or bathroom, and this spoils the overall appearance of the room - the gaze always stops at the device.
There are several effective ways to disguise a column, differing in cost, complexity and result.
The easiest way is to buy a speaker that matches the walls, furniture or other interior elements.
As a last resort, you can paint it with a matching paint, such as chalk paint, heat-resistant enamel, or acrylic paint from a spray can.
Another option is to close the column with a panel or kitchen unit. Please note: in this case, the wall cabinet must be without bottom, back and top walls. It is impossible to close the column with an open combustion chamber with a solid facade, since combustion occurs due to natural ventilation.
Only side and front panels are allowed, and the niche must be larger than the unit – and the difference between them must be significant.
If you want to be original, use a chalkboard as a “disguise”, leaving space for ventilation or a perforated facade, the holes in which will not disrupt the correct draft.
