Metal filter
This type of filter looks like a fine mesh of foil or aluminum and cleans the air from fat particles.
This filter is easy to clean and does not need to be replaced, as it lasts as long as the hood itself.
Synthetic filter
Such a filter is needed to free the air from soot, carbon monoxide and the same fat. It is made in the form of a cassette made of acrylic or other polymer with filter material inserted.
This type of filter operates silently, but requires periodic replacement of the filter material.
Carbon filter
The final stage is air purification through a carbon filter, which traps the smallest particles of pollution and eliminates unpleasant odors. For additional air disinfection, in addition to carbon, silver is present here.
Such filters are capable of cleaning the air, including from tobacco smoke. However, carbon filters have a drawback - they need to be replaced every six months, and they are quite expensive.
