Let's take as an example an old chest of drawers, which can be transformed into three new items at once.
Its frame can be used to make a fireplace portal. The drawers can be painted and placed on the wall, creating unique compositions. And the door can be transformed into a shelf or a table, depending on its size.
Don't forget about the bedroom.
A standard headboard can be replaced with an old door or painted pallets. A bedside table can be made from old books or a chair. And a sewing machine stand can be used to create a dressing table.
Besides, you can always restore old furniture. Wardrobes, bedside tables, chests of drawers and chairs can be repainted, varnished – and now you have not ancient junk, but vintage items.
If we talk about upholstered furniture, then changing the filler and re-upholstering can work wonders.
