How to use leftover wallpaper in your interior: not only for wall decoration

Despite the traditional idea of wallpaper as a finishing material for walls, its use can be much more diverse.

Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino suggested several ideas for using wallpaper scraps that can be useful in everyday life.

Kitchen Backsplash Makeover

In the past, it was generally accepted that the kitchen work area could only have tiled flooring. However, modern designers offer a variety of apron finishing options using various materials, including wallpaper.

To bring the idea to life, you will need tempered glass, under which you can stick any wallpaper to your taste and change the composition if desired. This option looks much more original than the usual tiles, and fits especially well into the interior of a kitchen with a modest set.

Staircase decoration

If you live in a house with stairs, use leftover wallpaper to decorate the steps. This will add variety to the design and make the house more cozy.

Important note: For these purposes, stronger and thicker options such as vinyl or non-woven wallpaper are suitable, since the material wears out quickly in this area.

Handmade table top

To update the tabletop, you can use a piece of wallpaper of a suitable size left over from pasting the room.

To fix the wallpaper in place, cover it with glass on top. If you want to change it, you can remove it or replace it with another one at any time. This method is suitable for those who want to update a worn-out tabletop, but do not want to spoil it with glue.

Earlier, the expert listed the signs that will help you understand that the interior is impeccable.
