Why You Shouldn't Use Natural Stone in Your Cooking Area: This Technique Is for a Magazine, Not for Living

Many people (maybe you are one of them) choose natural stone for their kitchen design.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , this desire is quite understandable, since this material is environmentally friendly and, in addition, has a luxurious appearance.

Housewives also count on its durability and practicality.

However, not everything is as simple as it seems, and here's why.

The thing is that the texture of natural stone is more porous than that of artificial analogues, so grease, dirt and stains quickly eat into it, leaving little chance of quick and easy removal.

Particularly problematic in this regard is light marble with a glossy texture.

The conclusion is simple: try to avoid using natural stone near the stove and sink.

Instead, for these areas it is better to choose other materials, such as MDF, acrylic, artificial stone and others - they are more practical.
