Interior design specialists are increasingly using glass partitions to furnish apartments, houses and offices.
According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , these designs are ideal for zoning space in living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms.
Such structures have many advantages, for example, the ability to let natural light into the room, quick installation, etc., but unfortunately, there are some disadvantages. These include:
- fragility;
- low sound insulation;
- incompatibility with sound systems;
- difficulty in care.
However, it is worth saying that these disadvantages are relative.
Not all apartment owners are concerned about the high sound permeability of glass, and not everyone considers the need for regular maintenance a disadvantage.
It is enough to wipe the glass from dust and stains once a week, and if it is installed in the bathroom, wipe it dry after a shower and clean it with disinfectants once a week.
The glass undergoes heat treatment, which provides additional strength. Even if it were to break, the fragments would not cause harm, since their edges are not sharp.
