Any apartment owner who is planning a renovation has a hard time, but it is especially hard for those who are planning to refresh their kitchen – such everyday “procedures” as cooking, washing dishes, etc., in this case become practically impossible.
In this regard, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, decided to share tricks that you can resort to so that the renovation, if it has an impact on your lifestyle, is minimal.
First, pack the things that have been stored in the kitchen until now only by category: one box – one category.
Of course, you don’t need to hide large equipment in boxes, but it wouldn’t hurt to wrap it in bubble wrap and plastic to avoid accidental damage.
Secondly, while packing what you need, don’t miss the chance to get rid of what you don’t need – expired products, chipped dishes, old textiles, etc.
Thirdly, do not rush to put into containers and boxes those things that you plan to use during the renovation - these are, first of all, plates, cups, cutlery, pans and pots.
By the way, when renovating a kitchen, it makes sense to switch to disposable tableware.
Fourthly, be sure to set up a dining area. For this purpose, the kitchen table can be moved to the living room or use a work or coffee table for this purpose.
Another thing to think about in advance is where you will store your products, and that's number five. Consider options like cardboard boxes, wicker baskets, or even bags. It wouldn't hurt to label all storage locations.
And sixthly, you need to decide on a place to wash dishes. As a rule, for this purpose, during the renovation, the sink in the bathroom or the bathtub itself is used.
Earlier we talked about a life hack with a drill that will help you maintain cleanliness during renovations.
