Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told how to make the interior of a living room more expensive than it actually is.
1. Expensive interior – expensive color
In this case, the base color should be a noble color and its complex shades. For example, classic beige, ivory, gray, olive, gray-blue, light peach, and so on.
2. High ceilings
In a typical apartment, techniques are used to visually increase the space. To do this, flooring and other finishing materials are chosen in light colors.
We exclude suspended ceilings, stucco and massive chandeliers, and choose single-color curtains at maximum height.
3. Add space
Furniture should be arranged so that it does not clutter the room; avoid typical arrangements around the perimeter or along two walls.
4. Add light
In addition to the ceiling light, add lamps to different parts of the living room. Use decorative and functional lighting.
5. Visual noise
It is advisable to avoid open shelves and other storage systems. Things should be stored in their places.
6. Textiles
Tablecloths, curtains, blankets and other items must be clean and tidy.
7. Things with history
This could be a massive sideboard, a silver tray, a pair of vases or another antique detail that will harmoniously fit into the interior and style of the room.
