Before implementing numerous design ideas when decorating your own home, think about whether they will be practical and, most importantly, safe.
Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino shared her opinion about one of such solutions, namely interior doors with glass inserts.
First, the good news. Such products really do seem to dissolve in space, making the overall appearance of the room lighter and airier.
This is probably where the strengths of doors with glass inserts end.
Their main disadvantages are that due to the glass used in the design, they will not be able to create even a minimal percentage of privacy, as well as the potential danger that such products carry.
Fragile glass can be easily broken by accident. The risk of the door leaf being damaged arises many times if there are pets or small children in the house.
To protect all members of your family from sharp fragments, consider abandoning such doors altogether or at least purchasing designs with tempered glass.
This glass, of course, can also break, but in this case the fragments will be rounded without sharp edges, which, you must agree, is much safer.
