Most people install stretch ceilings for one reason only – it’s beautiful.
However, designer Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, advises not to be led by aesthetics and to listen to the contraindications for installing such structures.
Unheated room
If we are talking about a country house, where no one will definitely appear in winter, take a closer look at other, more “classic” options for ceiling design.
The whole point is that due to low temperatures, PVC film first loses elasticity, and sometimes even begins to crack.
Large area premises
Stretch ceilings are not an option for overly spacious rooms. Over time, they will inevitably begin to sag, after which there can be no talk of any aesthetic qualities.
Ceilings are too low
If the ceiling height in your apartment is less than 2.5 meters, think about whether it is worth using stretch ceilings - with them the room will become lower by another 10-15 cm.
