Owners of small kitchens often ask themselves: where to find a place for a microwave in a small room?
The answer to this question is provided by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , who told where to “stick” a microwave oven if there is no space on the countertop and the windowsills are too narrow.
1. In the dishwasher
When placing household appliances in close proximity to each other, safety considerations should be the first consideration.
So, if you decide to place a microwave on top of a dishwasher, make sure that there is a heat-insulating stand between them.
2. On the washing machine
It often happens that a small kitchen comes with a tiny bathroom, and the washing machine also has to be moved into the kitchen.
In this situation, you can place one appliance on top of another, making sure that the weight of the microwave oven does not exceed 15 kg.
Don't forget about the rubber mat, which will prevent the microwave oven from slipping during vibration.
3. On the refrigerator
You can place a microwave on a refrigerator only if you follow several rules.
Firstly, you will also need a non-conductive stand and a non-slip rubber mat. Secondly, the distance to the ceiling should be at least 20 cm.
And thirdly, a microwave oven can be placed on the refrigerator only if you do not often use it in the “heat up” mode, and do not use the equipment for a long time to prepare various dishes.
