A pipe laid along a wall can ruin the appearance of any renovation, even one in which a lot of money was invested.
That is why the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, decided to share three methods that will help you disguise pipes, which is important not only for the aesthetics of the room, but also for the safety of the products themselves.
Box
As a rule, plasterboard is used to make such a structure, but the frame can be covered with chipboard, MDF, clapboard, polycarbonate, plastic panels, etc.
This method is the most popular and practical, but has several (albeit minor) disadvantages.
- To install the box, you may need the help of specialists.
- If you close the heating pipes in boxes, the room will be a little cooler.
Skirting board
Skirting boards can be used not only when you need to hide wires, but also when pipes are in your way – although they are only suitable for those that run along the floor.
Choose the shade of the skirting board so that it matches the color of the floor, doors or wall. The best material will be PVC or acrylic.
Plastic panels
This option is ideal for wet areas, as plastic panels tolerate moisture well.
Another couple of advantages: plastic panels are easy to care for and they are simple to install and remove.
