Despite the fact that fashion is cyclical, some things remain on the bench forever. The same rule applies to interior items.
An expert from the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , helped us figure out what has long been out of fashion.
Hallway from the 90s
You can recognize the hallway that was at the peak of fashion several decades ago by such features as gloominess, awkwardness and clumsiness.
If you want to keep up with modern trends, choose light furniture, “equipped” with transparent inserts, products on legs, with mirrored walls and wooden elements.
Curtains with synthetic frills
Waves, frills and too bright a color are all signs of curtains that need a well-deserved rest. The current products are made of natural materials and their characteristic features are minimalism and restraint.
LED strip
LED strip, which is used as an additional light source, makes the interior look cheap and tasteless. However, it is not worth saying that such an interior solution is not relevant at all - LED radiation can still be used to illuminate the countertop in the kitchen or shelves in the pantry.
Tiles "hog"
The "hog" tile used to be so popular that it could be found, without exaggeration, in every second interior. Perhaps, that is partly why everyone got tired of it so quickly.
If you are not going to give up using it, make the "hog" more relevant. To do this, you should abandon the idea of horizontal layout, however, as well as brick (with an offset). In addition, you need to look for an option without a chamfer and turn the tiles vertically when laying. And the last wish - stick to those installation schemes in which the "hog" will look as original as possible.
