If you don’t have the time, desire or money for a full renovation, you can always limit yourself to small alterations that don’t require the listed expenses from you, but at the same time allow you to refresh the look of the room.
One of these seemingly insignificant ways to update a kitchen is the use of moldings on kitchen facades, says designer Yulia Tychino , an expert at the online publication BelNovosti.
What is especially pleasant is that even a fragile representative of the fair sex can cope with the task.
So, what needs to be done?
1. Prepare old facades by wiping them of dust and removing other types of stains – grease, etc.
It would be useful to sign each door with a simple pencil on the inside. This way you won't get confused when you assemble the set. After that, you can remove the facades and fasteners.
2. Now it’s the turn of the moldings – cut them to the size of the facades, and make an angle of 45 degrees at the edges so that the joints look aesthetically pleasing and neat.
3. Another important note: since the store mostly sells only white moldings, stock up on the paint of the desired shade and a brush in advance to repaint them.
4. Grease each of the finished planks with glue and apply to the surface of the kitchen front. You will need to wait a while for the glue to set.
5. All that remains is to install the previously removed doors in their places and you can admire the final result.
