A brightly decorated living room is a definite plus. The presence of red, yellow, and orange colors helps improve the mood.
The classic design option using white or beige is also a good choice.
But the main thing is that the interior does not become too boring or, on the contrary, too colorful. To maintain color balance, you need to follow the "60-30-10 Rule".
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, explained the essence of this technique.
The essence of the 60-30-10 rule
The numbers given indicate the percentage that a particular color occupies in the living room interior.
In other words, it is advisable to use only three colors in the design of a room.
The main one should be about 60%, the second one - 30%, and the third one - 10%. This is the optimal proportion.
The colors should not be "close". In other words, you should not use gray with white. In this case, the interior will look dull. But you can combine white with black or orange with blue.
It is not recommended to use more than three colors (except for small details that can be removed at any time), otherwise the interior will turn out gaudy.
