Stretch ceilings can be described in three words: cheap, fast and beautiful.
However, not all interior design specialists are in a hurry to use them in their projects, shared Yulia Tychino , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, and here's why.
And the issue here is not the harm that PVC stretch ceilings allegedly have on human health, because this is ordinary plastic that surrounds us everywhere, only in a different form.
However, it is still not recommended to stay in a room where a suspended ceiling has just been installed for the first 1-2 days.
The whole point is that during the installation process, changes occur in the material’s crystal lattice, and this negatively affects a person’s well-being and health.
For this reason, do not forget to ventilate the room daily and for a long time for 14-30 days after installing such a ceiling.
So why didn’t designers like stretch ceilings?
The answer is simple: their technical capabilities and external characteristics are significantly inferior to ceilings made of gypsum plasterboard sheets.
A stretch ceiling does not allow you to make different levels or use moldings and baseboards, or not use them at all due to the unsightly joint of the canvas with the wall in the form of a joint tape.
