Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, told about what kind of cornices will not decorate any interior.
The list of anti-trends includes forged cornices, which, according to the expert, should be considered trash, which at the same time costs a lot of money.
In addition, you should avoid cornices made in an expensive-rich style - they tell guests that the owner of the apartment has no taste.
A dubious option is eco-cornices in the form of, for example, a tree branch. After all, you don’t live in a forest, so why use elements in the interior that look like they were cobbled together “from what was there.”
Another model that you should definitely say “no” to is string curtain rods.
They made it onto the list of trends with the prefix “anti” because of their resemblance to the clotheslines stretched in the yard of the house on which our grandmothers hung washed laundry.
Finally, it is worth giving up cornices “decorated” with fancy-shaped tips, as well as various ornaments and prints. The reason is simple – all the attention should go to the curtains, not the cornice.
