Not all carpets are equally useful, to paraphrase a well-known expression, one can say about this interior element.
Designer Yulia Tychino, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, spoke about which floor coverings should be avoided.
You may be surprised, but the list of items that are undesirable to have in an apartment includes the long-pile carpet, which is loved by many.
There are two reasons for this: firstly, it cannot look neat in principle because it gets wrinkled in places where it is walked on and under furniture, and secondly, over time such a carpet turns into a real breeding ground for infection.
Another rug that is considered bad taste is one with cut edges in a pattern or in the 90s style.
Such products not only look strange, but at the very least they disrupt the geometry of the space.
In addition, it is worth saying “no” to carpets with different pile lengths, as well as Persian carpets or models made in an oriental style - if this is inappropriate.
And remember: any carpet, even the most trendy one, has no place on the wall – this interior element is used by owners with good taste exclusively on the floor.
