Someone decided a long time ago that there shouldn't be much free space in the bathroom, and since then two people can barely pass each other in the toilet.
At the same time, you need to try to fit a washing machine, a laundry basket, and, if possible, a dryer here – and that’s in addition to the sink and bathtub.
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, shared her ideas for this case.
1. Make the most of your space: Consider installing a shower stall instead of a bathtub, and using corner shelves and niches for storage.
2. Create the illusion of additional space: use light colors in decoration and lighting, as well as mirrors and glossy surfaces to expand the space.
3. Install doors with sliding panels: this will save space and create the illusion of more space.
4. Install a wall hung toilet: It takes up less space and allows you to use the space underneath for storage.
5. Use vertical spaces: Install shelves on the walls and ceiling to store things and hide pipes and wires.
6. Choose compact furniture: Choose furniture that is small in size and functional so that it does not take up much space.
7. Remove all unnecessary things: Get rid of everything that is not used and keep only the essentials.
