Oak
This option is considered the most expensive, but it is distinguished by its strength, moisture and wear resistance. In addition, a table made of solid oak can withstand significant loads.
Beech
This table will cost less than the oak version. It is especially popular with designers due to its ability to age beautifully.
Nut
A table made of solid walnut will also cost a pretty penny, and it will also be very heavy. However, small disadvantages can be corrected by decoration in the form of openwork or carving, since the wood does not split.
Birch
Despite the fact that birch is a strong and shock-resistant material, it will not serve you for long. Another disadvantage is that since the massif of this tree is hygroscopic, you cannot do without impregnation.
Ash
A great option for a kitchen table – if, of course, you want to get sturdy furniture in a pleasant golden hue.
Pine
Pine can cope with high humidity and temperature changes, but even small loads are detrimental to it, which makes it unsuitable for making tables. However, due to the low cost, you can find desks made of solid pine on sale.
