Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, spoke about original ways of finishing walls that will not lose their relevance for a long time.
1. Painting
What do you need to know before you start painting? First, note that if you haven't found a suitable shade in the store, you can try to create it yourself by mixing several tones. And second, before painting, the walls must be prepared.
The paint has several advantages at once: painted walls can be washed, they have such a quality as durability, and are suitable for any premises.
2. Wallpaper
Today you can choose in the store not only paper, but also non-woven, vinyl, textile, glass wallpaper, liquid, photo wallpaper or acrylic wallpaper.
With the help of such a coating, you can make small defects that are present on the walls invisible to the eye, and the help of a master in gluing them is not necessary.
3. Panels
And here again you have a wide choice: decorative panels are made from many materials: PVC, MDF, gypsum and gypsum vinyl, bamboo, cork, glass... And there is plenty of room to roam in the choice of color.
True, they also have a downside, which is that the panels, due to the volume of the structure, seem to “steal” space.
4. Decorative plaster
With decorative plaster you can create the effect of a glossy surface, unevenness or imitate natural materials.
Many people choose this option because it is very easy to care for decorative plaster – it is easy to wash and you can use cleaning agents.
5. Decorative brick
Walls decorated with brick look harmonious in any interior, since it has various colors and shapes. Among the advantages of this option are environmental friendliness, durability, fire safety and ease of installation, and the disadvantages include a visual reduction in space.
