When planning electrical outlets in the kitchen, there are many factors to consider, such as safety, ease of use, and functionality.

Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino shared recommendations that will help determine where it is best to place sockets in the kitchen.

1. Above the work surface.

The most common place to place sockets in the kitchen is the wall above the work surface. Here you can place sockets for connecting a mixer, blender, toaster and other kitchen appliances.

2. Next to the sink.

Sockets located near the sink can be useful for plugging in an electric kettle, coffee maker or other appliances used to prepare drinks.

Important: When choosing a location where you plan to install an outlet, make sure it is located at a safe distance from the water source.

3. Under the upper cabinets.

If you have upper cabinets in your kitchen, be sure to include space for an outlet underneath them to power the lighting for your work surface.

4. On the island.

Of course, this recommendation is suitable for those kitchens with an island in the center. Sockets on its side will be useful for connecting kitchen appliances, such as a coffee grinder.

5. Above (under) the table.

Don't forget that there should also be a power outlet near the dining table, at least to charge your phone.
