In which rooms can you use floating furniture: a hit in interior design

If you have visited a furniture store recently, you may have noticed that not all of the “exhibits” on display are standing firmly on their feet.

Among the furniture there is some that “hangs” above the floor.

While some people consider such designs to be a waste of time, designer Yulia Tychino , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, believes that they can bring significant benefits to the interior, especially in small rooms.

The whole point is that furniture equipped with a solid bulky base significantly overloads the interior.

Fortunately, this only applies to large interior items: a coffee table is unlikely to harm the appearance of the room, while a huge bed can negate all the efforts that were made to visually increase the space.

That is why, when furnishing small rooms, it is worth choosing furniture without legs - it is attached to the wall and does not have a traditional frame.

If you can make the floor visible, it will make the room feel larger than it actually is.

You can use floating furniture not only in the bedroom, as we already mentioned above, but also in the hallway - this way you can place shoes under the cabinets, or in the bathroom to hide the laundry basket and household chemicals under it.
