Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , told how to add that special “zest” to the kitchen if you have neither the means nor the desire to do a full renovation.
First of all, you should clear the countertop, leaving only those things that you use regularly - like sunflower oil, a salt shaker or a teapot. Put everything else in the cabinets.
If you have a lot of spices, make sure to collect them in one place. A shelf or various stands for kitchen utensils can be useful for this.
And now – about decor. Although many people think that cozy things are needed only for the bedroom and living room, you can’t do without them in the kitchen either.
What can be used for this purpose? Anything – posters with recipes or photos of delicious dishes, pots with artificial or live plants, wooden accessories or a vase with flowers.
To avoid cluttering the countertop that we just cleared, use a shelf on a free wall or a rail with a basket to place decorative elements.
Those who are “in favor” of practicality should use bright mugs in the same color as the kitchen on the same railing, cute jars for sugar, salt and tea, textiles in the form of curtains, tablecloths and napkins as decoration.
