Without plants, the interior seems orphaned; there is no life, naturalness, or peace in it.

Psychologists claim that people feel calmer near plants because our ancestors lived among nature for thousands of years.

This is probably where many people have a passion for gardening. But you can't always afford to breed indoor plants. Some people don't like to mess around with pots and soil, some don't have time for it, and some are always on business trips or at work.

The only way out is artificial flowers. But how to place them in the apartment without spoiling the interior? There are several rules.

Rule number one: don't skimp

Many people refuse artificial plants, arguing that the house will look like a cemetery. And this fear is well-founded. Cheap artificial flowers really are associated with a cemetery or grandma's house, where a few dusty leaves hang from the ceiling, and no less dusty roses or carnations are bored in a vase on the table.

But the modern market offers a huge selection of artificial plants that are indistinguishable in appearance from real ones.

Sometimes, even upon close inspection, it is difficult to understand whether a flower is alive or not. There are a huge number of imitations of familiar indoor flowers that “grow” in real pots.

The quality of the material also plays an important role. After all, cheap products use plastic, which releases toxic substances.

Rule number two: use dried flowers

Dried flowers can be used as bouquet flowers. These are real plants that have undergone the drying and processing process.

They do not fade for a long time and delight the eye with their beauty.

In recent years, pampas grass has been gaining popularity, the fluffy panicles of which are used in interiors. This decor is perfect for large vases.

Rule three: everything is good in moderation

Remember: artificial plants are an element of interior design, so they need to be selected as carefully as furniture, textiles and accessories. They should fit into the style and overall concept, complement and enliven the room, and not dominate it.

You don't need to place too many bouquets or potted flowers, otherwise the apartment will look like a flower shop.

It is also important to remember that the vase or pot should also be part of the composition. Even the most expensive bouquet will be ruined by an unsuitable vase, and a pot that does not fit into the style of the room will disrupt the harmony of the interior.
