What to Get Rid of to Make Your Interior Look More Expensive: Creating a Designer “Picture”

Some apartment owners who are planning a renovation don’t even suspect that some things can visually cheapen the interior.

As Yulia Tychino, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, explained, there is no point in trying to “shove” plastic everywhere.

Corners, joints between tabletops and floors, baseboards, flower pots made from this material are very noticeable in any interior, and especially in those made in dark tones.

Only a radical solution can help correct the situation: plaster the window sills and slopes, and then paint them the same color as the walls.

The price of the interior also falls when lighting was not thought out during renovation work.

The play of light and shadow, volumes, which can be achieved by using various textures and reliefs, and, of course, hidden light sources, make the interior expensive.

The cost of the interior is also negatively affected by radiators below the windows. You can disguise radiators by painting them the same color as the walls or installing screens.

Finally, it is impossible to imagine a modern apartment or house with old-fashioned doors. Instead of standard panels, use hidden doors, the height of which is 2.20-2.30 m or even up to the ceiling.
