Like any other floor covering option, self-leveling floors also have their advantages and disadvantages.
BelNovosti online publication expert designer Yulia Tychino listed all the pros and cons of such a decision.
Let's start with the pleasant. Self-leveling floor, as is known, is a smooth seamless coating with high wear resistance.
The conclusion follows from this: such a covering is easy to clean, since you will not find cracks and depressions in the floor where dirt usually accumulates.
Among its other characteristics are excellent tightness, moisture resistance and dust protection.
However, in perception, this option is a colder floor, which, in addition, does not have texture and structure and is not able to make the room cozy.
If you choose a very light or, conversely, dark shade of flooring, be prepared for the fact that every speck of dirt will be visible on it.
To sum it up: if you want to create a warm and cozy interior in your apartment, then a self-leveling floor is not your option. But if you plan to rent out housing, then wear-resistant characteristics make this decision justified.
