However, the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, advises to treat this room with all due respect, because it is the first room with which one begins to get acquainted with the home.
A solution such as a built-in wardrobe – from edge to edge, from wall to wall – will help create a stylish interior for the hallway.
The furniture should be right up to the top, without gaps, which, of course, should be taken into account at the planning stage.
The next thing you need to do is design an open storage system. It is simply necessary in the hallway, because you hardly want to send wet outerwear to the closet, where it will cause mold and a musty smell.
Another essential element is a full-length mirror. This can be either a free-standing mirror or reflective facades on a built-in wardrobe.
In addition, make sure to equip the hallway with a console, shelf, drawer or tabletop, because you will definitely need to put your things somewhere before leaving or after arriving.
Finally, be sure to leave room for an ottoman, especially if you have small children or older people living there.
