Perhaps the first rule when choosing an apron for the kitchen is as follows: never use the same material on the apron as on the floor.
The reason, according to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, is that the floor and the apron have different tasks, and the same texture is simply not able to fulfill them.
In addition, it is worth mentioning a couple more prohibitions regarding kitchen aprons.
So, it is not recommended to use glass for this purpose - most likely, you will be disappointed by its dirtiness.
Mosaic is not suitable for an apron, as it is easy to make a mistake in this matter, since the effect is less predictable.
Artificial stone is also not an option – this material looks too simple and can often cheapen the interior of a room due to the lack of obvious texture.
Instead, you can choose much more interesting solutions, which, in addition, will cost much less.
For example, use a paintable apron, a quartz apron, a large-format sheet stone apron, a terrazzo apron, and others.
