Incorrectly selected furniture can make any room uncomfortable, visually small or non-functional.
Expert of the online publication Belnovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , told how not to make a mistake in the process of decorating a living room.
When choosing furniture, you should follow a number of rules.
1. Do not push furniture against the walls.
2. Don’t try to arrange furniture in such a way that there is a lot of free space in the center of the room – this will make it seem closed in.
3. Place all comfortable furniture around the central point, close to each other.
Don't forget about mirrors. Reflective surfaces can visually expand the space and make it brighter, so be sure to place mirrors in the living room - where natural light falls.
Furniture should not take up too much space so that you can move freely around the room. If the room is not impressive in size, choose the most compact interior items.
Look for multifunctional pieces, such as a sofa with a storage box or a pouf that can be used for the same purpose.
Remember: the cleaner and more spacious the living room is visually, the more pleasant it will be to be in it.
