Actor James Earl Jones, who voiced Darth Vader, has died

The famous American actor James Earl Jones, who voiced Darth Vader in the Star Wars film saga, has died.

According to available information, the artist died in New York at the age of 93.

This was reported by the TASS agency with reference to the Deadline portal, which in turn refers to the actor’s representative.

The cause of James Earl Jones' death has not yet been announced. It may be revealed later.

It should be noted that in addition to Star Wars, the artist is known for his roles in such films as Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Conan the Barbarian, and Sommersby.

He also voiced Mufasa the Lion in the animated films The Lion King and The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride.

In 1971, Jones was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Great White Hope.

In addition, the artist is a winner of the Golden Globe, Emmy (twice) and Tony awards.
