Making shawarma at home is not easy, but if you like this dish, try its analogue – a salad called “Lazy Shawarma”.
This snack is easy to prepare, and its taste is almost indistinguishable from the classic version of shawarma.
The ingredients are quite affordable:
- Chicken breast – 450 g;
- Chinese cabbage – 1 head;
- Cucumbers – 2 pieces;
- Tomatoes – 2 pieces;
- Korean carrots – 200 g;
- Lavash – 3 pieces;
- Sour cream;
- Mayonnaise;
- Grainy mustard;
- Garlic – 2 cloves.
The breast, cut into pieces, should be fried in a frying pan with spices - salt, pepper, paprika or a mixture of herbs.
Wait until the meat cools down, and in the meantime you can work on other products.
Cut the Peking cabbage into thin strips, and the cucumbers and tomatoes into small cubes. Korean carrots can be left whole or chopped a little.
It is also worth cutting the lavash into small squares or strips. Fry the resulting pieces in a dry frying pan until crispy.
Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and grainy mustard and add chopped garlic. When you mix everything together, you will have a thick and flavorful dressing.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl: Chinese cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, chicken, carrots and crispy pieces of lavash. Pour the prepared sauce over the salad and mix gently.
