Recipes for lazy housewives often come to the rescue when you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
We will share one of these recipes – for making lavash pies with a classic chicken and mushroom filling – with you in this article.
To prepare the dish you will need the following ingredients:
- 200 g Armenian lavash;
- 400 g chicken breast;
- 400 g champignons;
- 60 g hard cheese;
- 1 tablespoon sunflower oil;
- salt and ground black pepper – to taste.
We recommend starting with the filling, for which you need to cut the chicken into small pieces - this will make it easier to wrap them in a pie, and then the mushrooms - into thin slices.
Pour some oil into a heated frying pan, put the chicken and mushrooms in. Salt and pepper them to taste, and simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the chicken and mushrooms are stewing, grate the hard cheese on a fine grater. When the filling is almost ready, drain or evaporate the excess liquid (if there is any in the pan).
Now cut the lavash into squares, put the filling on each one, sprinkle with cheese and wrap.
Place our pies on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 5 minutes.
During this time, the cheese will melt, the lavash will brown, and the pies will become appetizing and delicious.
