It is prepared by mixing a teaspoon of baking soda in 0.5 liters of water.

If you notice that the fruit has an unnatural shine, it is likely that it has been treated with wax.

In this case, the apples should be additionally treated with hot water, after placing them in a colander. If at this point you notice that whitish stains have appeared on the fruit, this means that you are almost there and the wax coating is washed off by the hot water.
