How to improve the taste of beef stew with beer?

- one and a half kilograms of beef;
- one and a half glasses of beer (the type should be dark);
- two onions and a couple of cloves of garlic;
- two spoons of flour;
- bay leaf (a couple of pieces), salt, pepper;
- bacon (no more than 50 grams);
- a little parsley.
Method of preparation
It is better to take a whole piece of beef, wash it, dry it, treat it with a mixture of salt and pepper. Cut it into several fairly large pieces.
Next, we put it in a frying pan and fry it thoroughly.
Take a cauldron, which will then be sent to the oven. Fry the bacon, cut into thin slices. When it becomes crispy, remove. In the released fat, fry the chopped onion and garlic. When the vegetables are ready, you will need to add flour and bay leaf.
Fry, stirring, for a couple of minutes and pour in the beer. Cook for another three minutes and pour in two glasses of water. Add salt and the necessary spices.
Add the beef itself. Put it in the oven under the lid for 120 minutes at 175 degrees. Serve with parsley.
