Gingerbread cookies are closely associated with the main winter holidays, and in general they are the best treat for evening tea in the cold season.
Just don't wait for the holidays to treat yourself to some delicious flavors.
You will need:
- flour - 200 g;
- butter - 100 g;
- egg - 1 pc.;
- brown sugar - 2 tbsp;
- honey - 2 tbsp;
- ginger (grated) - 1 tsp;
- cinnamon - 1 tsp;
- cloves - 1 tsp;
- nutmeg (ground) - 0.5 tsp;
- baking powder - 1 tsp;
- salt to taste;
- powdered sugar - 100 gr.
How to cook
1. Mix the melted butter with the egg yolk, honey and sugar – beat with a mixer.
2. Mix flour with baking powder, add spices according to the list and salt.
3. Mix the dry mixture with the egg mixture and add finely grated ginger to taste.
4. Knead the dough and when ready, wrap it in film and put it in the refrigerator.
5. Beat the egg whites with powdered sugar and put in the refrigerator.
6. Roll out the dough, form the cookies, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment, preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes.
7. When ready, apply the icing to the cookies using a syringe.
