The most popular dish on the holiday table is chicken with potatoes. The problem is that it has become boring, and you want something special.
For this occasion, we recommend making a chicken pie – a pie with poultry and vegetables.
You will need:
- flour - 600 g;
- kefir - 250 ml;
- butter - 200 g;
- soda - 1/2 tsp;
- water - 1 tbsp;
- chicken fillet - 400 g;
- potatoes - 200 g;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- black pepper, salt to taste;
- egg - 1 pc.
How to cook
1. Melt the butter, let cool to room temperature.
2. Mix warm kefir, soda, salt, pour in melted butter, stir until the reaction of soda with kefir is complete.
3. Sift the flour in portions, knead an elastic, slightly sticky dough and wrap it in cling film, put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
4. Prepare the filling: cut the chicken fillet into pieces, peel the potatoes into thin strips or cubes, and the onion into small cubes. Mix everything in a bowl, add salt and pepper.
5. Set aside ¼ of the dough, roll the rest into a circle and place it in a greased baking pan. Form the sides.
6. Place the filling inside, put cubes of butter on top, roll out the remaining dough into a circle and close the pie, making a hole for steam to escape.
7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, brush the pie with beaten yolk, bake for 50-60 minutes. Enjoy!
