Cabbage pies are not as appetizing as those with meat or other non-vegetarian fillings.
But "cabbage dumplings" are easier to make, cheaper, and the vegetable itself is healthy in any form. The main thing is to know how to serve it. Here is a very quick recipe.
You will need:
- flour - 400 g;
- kefir - 400 ml;
- eggs - 2 pcs.;
- soda - 1 tsp;
- salt - a pinch;
- cabbage (fresh) - 400 g;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- carrots - 1 pc.
How to cook
1. You need to shred the cabbage, cut the onion into small cubes, and grate the carrots.
2. Fry the vegetables in a frying pan with butter. To make the cabbage softer, you can add ½ cup of water. Add salt and spices to taste and as they cook.
3. Mix flour with kefir, add soda, stir, then add eggs and salt, knead the dough, then mix with the filling.
4. Heat the frying pan, spoon in the dough and fry the “cabbage rolls” like pancakes on both sides.
