Mackerel is one of the most beloved sea fish. It is inexpensive, contains many useful substances and is easy to prepare.
Mackerel is often salted and marinated. Here is the fastest recipe for marinated fish, which will be ready in just half a day.
You will need:
- mackerel - 2 pcs.;
- vegetable oil - 125 ml;
- onion - 3 pcs.;
- sugar - 1 tbsp;
- ground black pepper - 1 tsp;
- vinegar - 125 ml;
- salt - 3 tbsp.
How to cook
1. Carefully clean the fish carcass from entrails and bile, remove the tail, fins, head and rinse when ready.
2. Cut the fish into portions, clean and cut the onion into rings.
3. Prepare the marinade. To do this, add vegetable oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and spices to boiled water (there should be enough water to completely cover the fish), mix and leave to cool.
4. Place the fish and onion in a suitable container, add bay leaf and spices on top and pour in the cooled marinade.
Place in the refrigerator and serve in 4 hours.
